1. Who we are
Sponsrs (sponsrs.link) is a sponsorship intelligence service: it shows which brands sponsor which creators on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. In this policy, "Sponsrs", "we" and "us" mean the operator of sponsrs.link. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: [email protected].
2. Data about you as a Sponsrs user
- Account data: your email address, name and profile picture when you sign up with email or Google. Sign-in is handled by Clerk; we never see your Google password.
- Billing data: your plan, subscription status and billing history. Payments are processed by Polar, which acts as merchant of record. Your card details go to Polar and its payment processors, never to us.
- Workspace content: what you put into Sponsrs, such as talents and creators you track, favorites, pipeline deals, notes, team invitations, media kits, and messages you send to the Pal assistant.
- API and MCP keys: we store only a one-way hash of each key, plus its name, prefix and scopes.
- Usage and technical data: credit usage, actions taken, IP address, browser type and request logs, kept by us and our hosting provider for security, abuse prevention and debugging.
3. Data about creators and brands in our database
Sponsrs indexes publicly available information: channel and profile names, handles, follower and view counts, video titles, descriptions, public captions and transcripts, and the sponsor links they contain. Sources include public YouTube, TikTok and Instagram pages, the YouTube Data API, and the community SponsorBlock database. For brands, we also collect public business details from the brand's own website and, on paid plans, business contact details (name, job title, work email) from Apollo.io, which we may verify with ZeroBounce.
We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest, and that of our users, in understanding the sponsorship market and contacting businesses for professional purposes. We do not collect private messages, private accounts or anything behind a login. If you are a creator or brand contact and want your data corrected, removed or excluded from future scans, email [email protected] with the profile or page URL. We act on verified requests within 30 days.
4. How we use data
- To run the service: sign-in, your workspace, scans, sponsor detection, recommendations, digests and notifications.
- To bill you and manage your plan and credits.
- To secure Sponsrs, prevent abuse and fix bugs.
- To send service emails (account, billing, digests you enabled). We do not sell your data and we do not run ad tracking.
Legal bases (GDPR): performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests (security, product improvement, the public dataset described above), legal obligations (tax and accounting records), and your consent where we ask for it.
5. AI processing
We use AI models to check whether a video mention is a real sponsorship and to answer questions in Pal. Video text and your Pal messages are sent to our AI providers (Anthropic and, for some checks, DeepSeek) only to produce that answer. We do not use your workspace content to train our own models, and our providers' API terms do not allow them to train on it.
6. Who processes data for us
- Vercel: hosting (EU region, Frankfurt).
- Turso: database hosting.
- Clerk: sign-in and account management.
- Polar: checkout, subscriptions, invoices and tax (merchant of record).
- Anthropic and DeepSeek: AI processing as described above.
- Apollo.io and ZeroBounce: business contact lookup and email verification.
- Google (YouTube Data API): public video and channel data.
Each provider only gets the data it needs for its task. Some are based outside the European Economic Area (mainly the United States; DeepSeek in China). Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard. We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to a buyer if Sponsrs is sold, under this same policy.
7. YouTube API Services
Sponsrs uses YouTube API Services. By using Sponsrs you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. We do not access your own YouTube account.
8. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure (set by Clerk) and to remember basic preferences. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
9. How long we keep data
- Account and workspace data: while your account is open. When you delete your account we delete it within 30 days, except backups, which roll off within a further 30 days.
- Billing records: as long as tax law requires (usually up to 10 years), held by Polar and by us.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
- Public creator and brand data: while it stays public and relevant, or until a valid removal request.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California law), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict our processing, and withdraw consent. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context advertising. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), API keys are stored hashed, and access to production systems is limited. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
12. Children
Sponsrs is a business tool and is not meant for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
13. Changes
If we change this policy we update the date above. For material changes we notify signed-in users by email or in the app before they take effect. See also our Terms of Service.
